The centre works mainly with dogs and horses and since
opening in 1995 has rescued and re-homed more than 7,500 dogs and almost 350 horses,
ponies and donkeys. In addition thousands of cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets,
reptiles and birds have all been given a helping hand to start new lives.
Kate has captured the media's attention on more than one occasion.
Can you remember Jasper the corgi-weiller? Dixie the dyslexic donkey with her
backward bray and also the singing bullmastiff!
Kate has a folder full of article cut outs relating to Ramshaw Rescue Centre and
looks upon any proposition as a challenge.
Since opening the centre has been manned by an army of tireless volunteers alongside
with tremendous support from local organisations and businesses. It has been brought
to our attention however, that there are countless supporters who do not have
any spare time to donate but nevertheless would like to help us on a more informal
basis.
The Centre is an organisation which is run for the community by the community.
We could not operate without your support.
